ALFIO ORIGLIO QUARTET
World-renowned, eclectic and melodic pianist, Alfio Origlio
has developped with his playing a very personal universe
which expresses the delicately intimate - yet moving
with percussive energy too - at times romantic, but always
extraordinary diversified and colorful.
After classical studies at the Conservatory of Grenoble
and
the Conservatory of Annecy, he focused his work on jazz
and contemporary music.
For fifteen years he worked as a soloist and accompanied
on albums and tours, international artists such as Salif Keita,
Henri Salvador, Stefano di Battista, Andre Ceccarelli, Ernie Watts,
Didier Lockwood, Richard Galliano, Paris Jazz Big Band,
Michel Colombier, Keziah Jones, Paul Anka, Bernard Lavilliers,
Hernia Watts, Thomy & Co, Michel Legrand, Amy Keys,
Stacey Kent, Adam Cohen, Marianne James, Nicos Aliagas,
Sanseverino and Stephane Eicher!!
Currently on a world tour with the drummer Manu Katche,
Alfio Origlio could make a detour to the Liquid, where
he will present his quartet composed of:
Eric Prost on sax (Paris Jazz Big Band, Wynton Marsalis...)
Laurent Vernerey on bass (Claude Nougaro, Johnny Hallyday,
Herni
Salvador, Florent Pagny, Manu Katche,
Charles Aznavour, ...). his discography here...
and Andy Barron on drums (Ronnie Scott Sominic Miller, Kenny Wheeler...)
A gig really not to be missed!
