JULA AIMEE 
 

Jula Aimee is a singer and songwriter from Amsterdam. She
studied at the Conservatories of Amsterdam, Copenhagen
and lived in New York for a while. All these influences from
different cities can be heard in her music.

Jula is a musician of this age, that listens to everything and
takes everything into her work. She follows her heart rather
than to respond to opinions of others. In her compositions
and vocals she is always curious and open ... She knows
what she wants: a new mix of styles which are honest and
genuine.

Besides the compositions Jula also writes her own - very
personal - texts. "Northern Flight example is the feeling you
get at the beginning of a new phase in your life. You know
that something is about to happen, but you do not know
exactly what, whether it is good for you, which way it
goes ... Soft as the Wind is about a relationship that you
really want it to work. But it does not work and you know
that, but you are going through. Until you decide to go on
with your own life."

That the authentic and fresh style of Jula Aimée appeals to
the public is clear: the 7000, - euros needed for recording
and production of the CD ‘We Were Here’ was fully funded
by crowdfunding in 50 days.
