Each of the musicians path and their totally eclectic influences are not a brake, on the contrary, but rather a source of inexhaustible creativity. Sébastien Leibundguth and Jean-Baptiste Berger share the same desire: create a trio that combines energy, violence, gentleness, contrast and blending of all these musical languages they listen and/or practice for so many years. This calls Marc Ducret, Steve Vai, John Zorn but also John Coltrane, Paul Motian Trio, Hyperactive Kids or Tiny Bell Trio, the French and German scenes as through New-York, jazz but also rock, these boys do not worry about conventions...
Eventually they started a working process of composition, improvisation and taming!
The meeting with Jerome Klein, Luxembourgish drummer, and with Jean-Baptiste Berger takes place during their participation in the Jazzplayseurope adventure in 2012, that will allow them to share their music tastes and desire to play together again.
This meeting provides the richness of his jazz and classical aesthetics of precision. Improvisation and writing are serving a lyricism and a more communicative energy, declining sometimes in dark colors, sometimes gleaming, always passionate.
The trio is a place for expression and dialogue between the three musicians - equal voice - claiming the opening at all possible; the instantaneous and premeditated. Improvisation in writing, sound to the melody. Between bitter lengths and soaring storms, this trio battery-saxophone-guitar bathed in a contemporary universe.
