Born in Paris, Nico Zdankiewicz is one of the new breed of excellent young guitarists making a name for himself on the current r&b circuit in France, Europe and the USA.
Along with his band, this charismatic front man and showman draws on an eclectic mix of r&b, blues, soul, funk and rock and has developed his own style whilst developing new sounds. His touring band boasts some highly respected and experienced musicians accompanying him on bass and drums. Performing mainly original music and some standards, they have already toured extensively in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and UK. During their 2011 tour, they supported Gregg Wright (USA) at (famous monday Blues) The Bullingdon, Oxford Also Roy Rogers, Paul Cox, Boney Fields, Mofo Party Band… Nico’ZZ are also the backing band who tour in Europe with legendary American singer/guitarist/songwriter Donald Kinsey (son of Big Daddy Kinsey).
Nico has recorded five albums; ‘The Chicago Sessions’ was recorded in 2006 in the USA with some of America’s finest blues musicians. He has also recorded with Waldo Weathers, a former saxophone player with James Brown, who features on the fourth album ‘What’s On Your Mind’. His last album ‘Sweat All Night’ was released in 2013.
