VATAPA

Vatapa' de fruta pao is a berlin-based band since 2007,
playing bossanova, samba, sambareggae and brasilian funk.



It includes guitar and voice Arnaldo Prete, tenor and soprano sax
Joseph Carpentier, Doublebass or E-bass Max Hartmann and Flavio Fanelli,
Brasilian percussions and drums Boris Israel.
As its bahian name, referred to the delicious african-rooted dish
melting up seafood and tropical fruits, Vatapa' is a band in which
the fusion of different taste and origin of its elements, makes the special
intense flavour of a music blowing fresch and strong like the wind on the ocean
but rich and juicy like the tropical sweetness of a mango.

Playing for festivals, bars, private events, vernissages, multicultural events
in Berlin as much as all around Germany and north of Europe,
Vatapa' creates a typical brasilian atmosphere going from
dancing african rooted sambas, reggaes and all of the rhythms of Northeast
of Brasil, to the sophisticated, smooth and jazzy harmonies of the bossanova
as much as the groovy funks of Rio de Janeiro.
