ANANKE TRIO

This week, we are happy to welcome Ananke in their original and raw trio package for the first time in LiquID!
The trio is beautifully eclectic and heads toward trendy fusion, integrates drum n’ bass, maximum energy! it moves!
A very cool project to come and discover this week again!!

Ananke is a contemporary jazz trio with already more than 100 concerts under their belt and well known to the Belgian scene.
In 2004, Ananke wins the Brussels Jazz Marathon Youth Talent Contest. Ananke is a multi-faced group as the trio regularly integrates new musicians to explore new horizons. 
In 2007, Ananke set up a project with guitarist Philip Catherine to revisit old rock-fusion compositions of his (Angel Wings, Monday 13, ...) mixed to the Ananke repertoire. Those concerts were performed at the Grand Place Brussels Jazz Marathon and at the KVS for the Klara Festival in between others.
In 2008 - 2009, Ananke collaborates with DJ Boulaone (Grazzhoppa, DJ Big Band) to reproduce the DJ’s album GriGri in live. This project was performed at the Marsatac festival in Marseille, at the Grand Mix Tourcoing and at the Pannonica Club in Nantes.
Since 2011, Ananke also comes as a Quintet with flute and bass clarinet. In December 2012, Aka Moon a band with shared and close links, invite them to play at the festival that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the famous trio.
