Cédric Hanriot would generally be considered a latecomer to the world of music. After earning his Master’s Degree in Electronics & Digital Audio Processing at the age of 21, his life took an unexpected turn as he sat at the piano for the first time in his life. Only then did he start studying music and playing the piano.

Within only a few years he became a fullbright pianist, composer, producer and arranger and has performed and recorded with luminaries such as drummer Terri Lyne CARRINGTON (Stevie WONDER, Herbie HANCOCK), bass player John PATITUCCI (STING, Wayne SHORTER), bass player/singer Me’shell NDEGEOCELLO, drummer Cindy BLACKMAN (Lenny KRAVITZ), saxophonist Joe LOVANO, Grammy Awards winning singer DeeDee BRIDGEWATER to name a few.

In the recent past years Cédric collaborated with Jazz and Hip Hop artists such as Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper and Dianne Reeves. Hybrid musician, he likes to mix styles and work with diversified universes of artists. His trio groOovematic offers a unique blend of jazz, electro, groove and pop. Formed in early 2011 around Cédric’s compositions with bassist Bertrand Beruard and drummer Jean-Baptiste Pinet, the band already acquired a large international stage experience. They performed in many venues and festivals in France and around the world: Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Argentina, Uruguay and generally all over Europe. A high quality gig surely not to be missed!!!
