10th birthday celebration week:

NIKLAS KRAFT QUARTET
 
to begin our 10th birthday celebration week,
we'll kick off with our regular tuesday jazz night
with the Niklas Kraft Quartet from Leipzig!

Niklas Kraft is a 20 year old sax player from germany.
the quartet he'll be presenting us this week has been
formed early 2010.
despite of their young age these 4 musicians have already
a wide musical experience and have had the chance to
collaborate with reknowned artists such as Richie Beirach,
Joey de Francesco, Lorenzo Frizzera, Pepe Berns,
Johannes Enders, Matthias Bätzel, Werner Neumann...
they have already become an important member
of the Leipzig jazz scene...

this quartet has a fresh and original sound where grooves and
melodies are the center point of their compositions,
their repertoire is mostly own compositions and leaves much
freedom to their instrumentalists skills.
